Du “Pi Day” à la Journée internationale des mathématiques

La Journée internationale des mathématiques (IDM) est une célébration mondiale. Chaque année, le 14 mars, tous les pays seront invités à participer à travers des activités pour les étudiants et le grand public dans les écoles, musées, bibliothèques et autres espaces.
Sur proposition de l’Union mathématique internationale(IMU), la Journée Internationale de Mathématiques (JIM ou IDM) a été adoptée par la Conférence générale de l’UNESCO en novembre 2019. La première célébration officielle aurait dû avoir lieu la veille du 14 Mars 2020 au siège de l’UNESCO à Paris le vendredi 13 mars. Elle a été reportée en 2021 en raison des mesures dues au Coronavirus. Mais des manifestations ont quand même eu lieu dans le cadre de la semaine des mathématiques(célébrée en France du 09 au 15 mars).
Le thème 2020 est “Les mathématiques sont partout“. Il reviendra en 2021 !
Notre association LM4A² est donc avant-gardiste en ceci qu’elle a pour slogan « tout le monde doit avoir la chance de faire les mathématiques ». comment donc ne pas comprendre que « les mathématiques sont partout » ?

The International Day of Mathematics (IDM) is a worldwide celebration. Each year on March 14 all countries will be invited to participate through activities for both students and the general public in schools, museums, libraries and other spaces.
On the proposal of the International Mathematical Union (IMU), the International Mathematics Day (JIM or IDM) was adopted by the General Conference of UNESCO in November 2019. The first official celebration should have taken place the day before March 14 2020 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on Friday March 13. It was postponed to 2021 due to the measures due to the Coronavirus. But demonstrations still took place as part of mathematics week (celebrated in France from March 9 to 15).
The 2020 theme is “Mathematics is everywhere“. He will return in 2021!

Our association LM4A² is therefore forward-thinking in that it has the slogan “Lucky Maths For All” or everyone must have the chance to do mathematics. How can we fail to understand that “mathematics is everywhere”?
