The theme of the 48th edition of Cameroon’s National Day, on May 20, 2020, is : « All united in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, for a resilient Cameroon resolutely turned towards peace, stability, and economic development.”

Thou, of life and joy, our only store!

Thine be honour, thine devotion,

And deep endearment, for evermore.

Chère Patrie, Terre chérie,

Tu es notre seul et vrai bonheur,

Notre joie et notre vie,

En toi l’amour et le grand honneur.

Beyond praying for the eradication of Covid-19,

let us be aware and respectful of the barrier measures to this pandemic,

for our good and the good of our nation!

Au-delà de priez pour l’éradication du Covid-19,
